  1. Admission Requirements:

UG Programs:

  • Scorecards of grades 10,11 and 12 are required.
  • IELTS: 6.5 or higher, at least 6 in each section
  • TOEFL: Average score of 80–88
  • Duolingo: average score of 110 or better
  • SAT: Reading Test: 33 or higher or Critical Reasoning: top 15 percentile with a score between 1190-1440
  • ACT: average score of 28 or higher
  • Purdue requires you to take the SAT Essay/ACT Writing section. They’ll use this as another factor in their admissions consideration.
  • GPA: average score of 3.69 (unweighted)

Academic transcripts

For PG programs, a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or as per course requirement is a must. Along with IELTS or TOEFL scores, GRE or GMAT may also be required.

Purdue University has four campuses in the US that include West Lafayette (main), Purdue Northwest, Purdue Fort Wayne, and IUPUI (Indianapolis). 

On-campus housing is available for all students at Purdue. This housing application (contract) will be available to all admitted students through myPurdue.

Graduate students have the option to stay either on-campus or off-campus as per availability and their preference. On-campus housing options (Purdue Village and PRF Residential Housing) are limited, so the students are advised to apply early. For off-campus housing, students may rent an apartment around the university for better accessibility. Students may also refer to Purdue’s Off-Campus Housing webpage for details.

Purdue offers on-campus housing and residence facilities and the students can also consider living off-campus near the University. The university offers housing options for the different categories of students such as co-ed housing, and separate housing facilities for males and females. Furthermore, the university offers cooperative housing, housing options for fraternities and sororities, and even helps students to look for off-campus housing options and residence facilities.

Purdue University operates seventeen separate residence halls for its undergraduate and graduate students. Of the residence halls, four are male-only while two are female-only; the rest of them are co-ed. The cooperative system allows for a much lower cost of living than other types of housing, averaging $2900 annually with all-inclusive monthly rent ranging from $250-$625 varying by a house.

The Center for Career Opportunities (CCO) offers students advice on researching companies and networking. Once you’ve narrowed your job search, Purdue myCCO is the place to go to apply for jobs. You can also investigate job options by attending one of the many on-campus or virtual job fairs hosted by Purdue. You can participate in live, online resume, interview, and job coaching as well as practice interviewing using InterviewStream. The CCO also offers a series of tutorials and workshops on resumes, cover letters, interview preparation, and networking.
